Repairs to Rutherglen station building
Long overdue plus leaks! This is being progressed. Station adopters, Grow 73 have not been maintaining the planters but will have more time and hope to involve Burgh primary school. Sandra from Community Scotrail to liaise.
Disused shelter building at Newton station- what are the plans for this?

Dave from Grow 73 and Larkhall growers have been to the community garden at Newton and there’s £3.5k funding for 2 extra beds with herbs as part of a wildlife/beeline project. Plus an information board explaining the plants and their medicinal uses.
RH wanted to know which parts of the land adjacent to the community garden was the responsibility of the council vs Scotrail.

National Autistic Society Partnership with Rail 74 within N&S Lanarkshire supported by visit Lanarkshire and possibly funding from TOCS.
Social Bite homeless village in Rutherglen
DGW wondered if there was some way in which the CRP could get involved. The village will be sited in Harriet Street, quite near to Main Street.

Travelling classrooms
funded by Scotrail- sessions on trains with Scottish Autistic consultants- visits to Motherwell Library and science centre- good feedback received and now complete.

- Rutherglen 900- how could Rail 74 get involved
- Climate change funding to be obtained for interactive maps- use Ice Cream Architecture possibly?
- Accessibility support to be more pictorial – pull stakeholders together e.g. SLC, Tourism Scotrail. JW met with NAS re pop up events at various stations, potentially in the Spring.
- Rail Safety project- 8-10 schools- phase 2 of Hope in Hamilton. Third party can provide and Rail 74 can fund.
- Young Scot card provides discounted train travel about which people seem unaware- poor marketing?
