Development Officer
1. Greening CamGlen Network- planters in progress plus support from Vaslan.
6 green spaces beside stations – proposed QR codes linking to podcasts, explaining their function. There could be posters at all stations with the QR codes- funding to be requested.

2. Autism
- Feasibility study regarding accessibility for stations; first draft survey of autistic people on this issue. National autistic society-feedback on trains and other public transport issues. Virtual reality headsets for some stations are available s o that people can experience a station in advance
- Travelling class rooms- Cross country funding- due 5th and 11th April. MSP Christina McKelvie is keen to join in. There’s a request for 50 children plus parents- N Lanarkshire and also a Rainbows group.
3. United in learning intergenerational project:-
Crafters/tik/tok projects- with Edinburgh CRP -teaching knitting. Scotrail will fund train passes and locally supplied meal. Later there will be a return visit to Glasgow by the CRP.
Hope in Hamilton update
The final landlord’s consent has come through – an April installation date is awaited. The PR release is done. ‘Official opening’ will be a celebration event with local MSP Christina McKelvie. Relevant TOCs to be contacted re publicity.
DGW asked about anti-vandal paint on the installation or if we could get a local graffiti artist to draw something local on it. AP1- SMcC to ask
Annual Accounts (by June 2023) — SMcC — Annual accounts almost ready.
Avanti update: Matthew Worman — increased female driver recruitment; 100 drivers in training. 25% timetable cancellation in August 2022 now 4%. 90% of trains are within 15 mins of scheduled times.
Also, a new app for visually impaired travellers – Be My Eyes – connects to travel helpers.
