Building on our links with a more sustainable travel option by rail & the environment – One of the biggest challenges facing of most third sector groups including Community Rail, Station Adopters and eco community garden groups in the area is gaining new volunteers – Many of these spaces are unmanned and our ‘Sounds like a Volunteer’ project will deliver an audio podcast series that explains Rail74 CRP and 4 community groups along the line through current volunteer voices, activities explained and how the community can get involved. This is linked to QR codes that can be used outside for community growing spaces on wooden staked plaques – also leaflets to be given on the train and for social channels.
