1. Chair’s Report:
Previous AGM minutes proposed by NW and seconded by SMcC
Rail 74 works with over 25 different community organisations and with support from Avanti, Crossrail and Scotrail. Rail 74 has contributed 1000 volunteering hours.
4 main projects include Hope in Hamilton, which is imminently about to be installed, 3 Cambuslang Community Council murals, St Charles’ school- Growing project at Newton station; Autism feasibility study for accessibility and inclusivity re increasing awareness of hidden disabilities- Phase 1 traveling classrooms: joint project with 6VT CRP – intergenerational craft project. Greening Camglen campaign.
There remains a need for more volunteers for the committee- podcast, radio and outreach to potential community groups.
2. Treasurer’s Report:
Accounts after being audited by the accountant, will be uploaded to OSCR.
Receipts this year were sufficient to meet payments incurred throughout the year. This year Rail 74 CRP SCIO has relied on the funding directly from Scotrail, Cross Country and Avanti West Coast in order to meet this. Rail 74 CRP SCIO has been able to continue to meet its financial commitments.
Chair – post remains vacant but Nigel Wunsch, agreed to be nominated to continue, temporarily.
Treasurer – Lynn Keir.
Secretary – Diane Whateley.
All proposed and seconded unopposed.
4. Project updates
- Phase 2 of travelling classrooms
- Greening more spaces beside stations- funds from Cross country are on hold
- Hope in Hamilton- installation to proceed, subject to contractors.
To extend the CRP to include Airbles and Motherwell- adopted. Official intimation to Scotrail
